Motels in Centre Island

'This is the second time I've stayed here in two weeks, and this is my second review. Not much has changed. I think for $115, this is a great place, but that was through Expedia. I wouldn't pay the full rack rate. It's a great throwback to the old two story motels where every door opens to the outside. 'This was honestly an awful experience. There were roaches in my room, and a lot of them at that. When I first opened the door of my room and I noticed a smell like harsh cleaning chemicals -- not the kind that should be used on daily basis to maintain a room. I noticed there were weird substances (who knows what) caked to the walls in different areas, and as soon as I laid down a roach crawled out from behind the nightstand. 'Room heat was sporadic at best'

'For the most part the room seemed ok. But the deodorizer used and overused inside the mini fridge made us ill. This chemical permeated our food and water containers and we were sick for a full day afterwards. (Our waterbottles, not disposable types, still reek 2 days later after scrubbing thrm with alcohol. We will need to know what that chemical was due to the sensitivity we experienced. Overuse of scented chemicals does not confer cleanliness. Parking was fine and ac unit worked very...
