Virgin Hotel London-Shoreditch is a beautifully decorated hotel, chique yet also warm and cozy. The room was nice, and the bathroom was amazing. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxed stay at the hotel, and I can definitely see ourselves returning for a future trip. There’s two (minor) points of improvement that we could think of. First, the swimming pool seemed to be closed off to general hotel guests on Sunday afternoon due to a ‘private party’. Going into London for just a weekend, with temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius, we were not expecting the pool to be unavailable like this. We eventually secured a spot by talking to the reception, mentioning we just wanted a quick dip given the warm weather. They agreed and were kind enough to help us secure our entrance into the pool area - thank you Kaisha! Perhaps we missed the announcement of the party, but we would think that the swimming pool comes with the hotel and thus should be available to its guests. Another point of improvement is the breakfast service at the rooftop bar, which was a bit slow and unorganized. Of course, the unusual hot weather circumstances were not a helping factor here. This being said, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly! To conclude, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Virgin Hotel London-Shoreditch, be it with these two minor points of improvements.
