'Yes, the room was spotless but it is the friendliness of the staff that makes our stay most enjoyable. The wide choice of breakfast suits everyone. Unfortunately we found the evening dinners a little too rich for our taste on this visit. Previous visits have had more choice for the evening meal, with some more 'basic' meals available. However the chef was most accommodating when it came to catering for allergies. '

'Steve is welcoming and runs a beautiful hotel. My room overlooked the sea,and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , fresh fruits, compôte , yoghurts, warm bread and croissants. Lovely coffee. All in all I would recommend Chapter 1 as a very civilised resting place. '

'Heel vriendelijk personeel, erg behulpzaam. Bij binnenkomst duurde het even voordat er iemand kwam, mijn vriend ging achter even kijken en zag verbouwing spullen liggen. Ze zaten midden in een soort van verbouwing, want ze zouden na de zomer periode ook weer dicht gaan om verdere dingen in het hotel aan te pakken. Ze waren nu 2 jaar eigenaar van het hotel en stukje bij beetje waren ze het aan het opknappen. Er zou ook een restaurant opengaan de volgende dag en daar waren ze ook heel druk mee....

'Nette en schone kamer. Matras ligt goed. Kamer is erg gehorig. Is een oud gebouw dus alles kraakt, je hoort andere mensen de trap op en af lopen. Hotel ligging is prima, aan de overkant van de weg is het strand. Winkeltjes en restaurants allen op loopafstand. Wifi is prima. Voor het parkeren krijg je bij het inchecken een vergunning, zodat je in de straat gratis kan parkeren. Prima hotel om in te verblijven.'

'A wonderful stay at Calm Sea Guesthouse. We had a lovely spacious room with comfortable beds and nice extra touches like a packet of sweets for our teenage boys and biscuits for us. Even a mini fridge with fresh milk - what a treat! Mel and Trish could not have made us feel more welcome. Trish cooked a delicious breakfast each morning, and Mel gave us a wealth of tips and suggestions for eating out and places to visit. A first rate stay, highly recommend.'

'We stay in a comfortable and well equipped sea view room with a double bed. The location is ideal for swimmers and taking in the beauty and charm of Weymouth. Our host Melanie has been fantastic. From arrival to leaving, the friendly nature has made the short stay a very pleasant experience. '

'Aangezien er een Thais restaurant onder de kamers zit, ruikt de kamer daar wel naar, maar dat wisten we van te voren. Bedden sliepen erg lekker en ontbijt was naar verwachting OK. Ondanks dat we voor 9 uur in hadden moeten checken konden we na een telefoontje ook later aan komen zonder dat daar moeilijk over gedaan werd.'

'Nice size property. Missing the more luxury/comfort items. Garden furniture ok not as images. Has a comfy dining table. Balcony furniture present but not suitable for the area. High stools and table not appropriate needs more relaxing items to make area useful otherwise it was good for drying clothes. Area is central and easy for amenities, cafes, beach, shops etc all easy to walk to. Noisy as near heliport and some days this is busy from early morning till after 10 at night. Not overly...
