'The property was very nice and we were able to find it just after dark with communication from the host. The cabin had a sunken living room and loads of windows to see nature through. There were pull down shades for privacy as needed. Having a washer and dryer in the unit with laundry soap provided was very helpful. 'We had a wonderful stay! What I was most excited to experience was an Australian colonial period home and this fit the bill. It was in a great location and walked to the harbour for evening meals. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to our day.'

'We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by.
