'The apartment was nice enough. It was clean and quiet. Staff was available when I had questions. However, the furniture, particularly the sofa and mattresses were not very nice at all. The master bedroom mattress had remnants of being a firm bed at one time but as since broken down and is incredibly lumpy and unsupportive. Woke up sore every morning. The pillows were also thin and uncomfortable. The sofa in the main area was slanted and lumpy, and if you attempted to stretch out, you had a bar...

'The perfect home base for a quick trip to see a Cubs game. You won’t find a friendlier or less expensive place this close to Wrigley and the lake. The close proximity to the Red Line L puts the entire city in reach for those non- baseball outings and site seeing. The North Halsted neighborhood, while maybe not for everyone, is such a vibrant and welcoming place. We will be back!'

'This place was very different and unique; a true B&B experience. Parking was difficult, but once we got our spot we used public transportation everywhere. The nearest bus stop and train station are a ten minute walk. After we got our room we were given a tour of the property and told of all the amenities available to us (of which there were several).'

'One of the best price/quality options for your stay in Chicago. Great neighbourhood with lots of (rather expensive) restaurants and bars. Supermarket around the corner. Metro station at 10 minutes walking distance. The Villa Toscana is a charming old house with nice garden and verandah. Rooms are a bit small and stuffy, with no view or possibility to open windows in the bottom rooms, although the owner unscrewed one of the closed windows for us to let in a bit of fresh air. 'A fantastic stay yet again. I have stayed here the last few years while attending a conference. All the staff were great and amazing selection of food for breakfast and for late night snacks. I will be back again next year'
