'Very nice place to stay if you are after basic but good honest accommodation (not the place if you are after aircon and a big multi channel flat screen TV) The hosts Rudy and Kanoe were very friendly & helpful. Located right on the beach (but as others have said swimming not possible) and a very well stocked store just over the road. You do need transport to have freedom to get around - but the hire scooters from Muri are cheap, safe & really fun. Highly recommended (with the above...

'The photos do not do this property justice, it was well maintained and very clean and spacious - perfect for our group! A short walk across the road and you find yourself in a gorgeous part of the lagoon, right outside The Rarotongan, where we hand fed fish and swam with turtles! We especially loved Timmy the resident pooch who was just gorgeous, he was a highlight of our trip and we miss him dearly! '

'My experience staying at MMStudios was great as a first-timer in Raro. Practically zero issues to mention. The space was perfect, bathroom was just right, resources, appliances and other attributing home necessities within a few steps reach. 'Was a fantastic spot close to Muri beach, snorkelling, shops, doctor chemist, hire SUP and kayaks. Saw turtles while kayaking to the close islands that you can also walk to. Great host Mike. Was perfect for 9 of us.'

"Goed: Beste locatie van Rarotonga met prachtige lagoon om te snorkelen met mooie tropische vissen en murenes. Kamers op zich prima, wat verouderd, maar wel super schoon. Slecht: Deels verouderd. Restaurant is verschrikkelijk en zeer ongezellig. Eten zeer matig en niet 4* waardig. Keuken ziet er niet schoon uit ook. Ga lekker bij het restaurant aan de overkant eten, veel beter en enthousiaste eigenaar. Cocktails zijn kant en klaar en niet te zuipen. Ontbijt is ok, maar kan ook een kwaliteitseis upgrade gebruiken. Veel ziet er om 0900 niet meer vers uit. Omgeving zwembad niet schoon (zwembad zelf wel) en gevaarlijke putjes voor kinderen. Waterpark kapot en onveilig. Veel kokosnoten in bomen pal boven ligbedjes, heel gevaarlijk. Ligebedden hebben geen kussens zoals op de foto’s. Veel ongebruikte ruimten. Het slechte is dat bovengenoemde al jaren in de reviews staat, maar blijkbaar neemt het management deze niet serieus omdat klanten toch wel blijven komen. Advies: neem een goede hotel manager aan, knap de boel echt een keer op en neem feedback serieus, vernieuw je restaurant, neem een goede chef-kok aan en maak het aantrekkelijk voor gasten. Jammer want je kan hier een fantastisch resort van maken op zo’n locatie. Ondanks alles wel een prima verblijf gehad hoor, dus ga er gerust heen. "
