'We had a fantastic time of 2 nights at SOY Local Islawa. Prior to our arrival, the hotel contacted us via app to see how we had arranged our trip to the location and we were given a number of options. Accommodation is only accessible by boat, which was offered free of charge. Our room was really fantastic. Cool by the Arco, clean, lovely bed and a very large nice shower. Kayak is free to use. Menu card was played out for us after 2 days. Lunch and dinner the same. Drinks are delicious! Warm...

'The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the room was not what we booked or paid for. After traveling for over 17 hours, our room was not ready upon arrival and was still dirty. We specifically reserved a balcony room, but the room we were given did not have a balcony. Additionally, there was no hot water, and the air conditioning was only available between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., which was very uncomfortable.'

'Staff very rude . Rooms needs maintenance asap. Shower water almost no pressure. And if you want to sit on the beach beds be prepared to pay extra even though you are a guest. No other option. Food at their restaurant was mediocre at best. Plenty of better options around same area. Next time I will choose better '

'Staff is awesome! Very attentive and responsive to any possible need. The owner, Obeida, is very present and nice. Around the hotel there's a lot to do as well. Loved my 4-night-stay.'

'The receptionist spoke no English. The room had no safe. A cockroach was in the room. There was no “Tranquility” at Freedom Beach. Not anything near what was expected. The only quiet time is after 20:00 hours when the crowds which start arriving at 9:00, have gone home. Disappointed. The bathroom was so poor, I couldn’t take a shower or sit on the toilet. '
