'The space is beautiful inside and out, we struggled with the gate lock the first couple of times we used it, it started to loosen up the more we used it. The frogs come alive at night and give you a symphony. If you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping bring ear plugs. We will absolutely stay here again.'

'This property was so cute and the perfect size for a couple. The proximity to Volcano NP is a highlight point! It’s exactly as described in the post and the dehumidifier was a game changer. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re back!'

'Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay. '

'This cottage did not disappoint. It looked even prettier in person. It was well stocked and super convenient to Volcanoes National Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend to others.'

'The ohana was absolutely beautiful with original artwork and other decor that msde it feel like Hawaii inside and out. We loved the outdoor tub and everything in general was comfortable and well situated. No issues finding it, though I could see how it may be difficult to find in the dark, the owner's instructions are clear and pictures help guide you. Awesome smashburger stand just 8 minutes away. Highly recommend.'

'What a beautiful location and farm. So peaceful and a fantastic place to decompress. Matter of fact we spent a very enjoyable day on the lanai. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, a real kitchen, the bed was very comfortable, there’s a washer and dryer there, as well as snorkeling and beach gear available for use! We highly recommend this place and would stay again 3 easy check in/out, nice hosts. Farm is about 30 minutes from Hilo.'

'David was a lovely host and provided a generous welcome with tips on the local flora. The house is simple in the best way - utterly relaxing and with all you need. The location is spectacular for snorkeling because you can walk to the best spots and shower in the outdoor shower after. The cottage is charming with thoughtful updates (AC) and is impeccably maintained.'

'We LOVED our 2 night stay here. It was so relaxing and exactly what was described. It was a bit of nature, fruit trees and peace. We had excellent communication with the hosts. The outdoor shower was pretty cool. We really can’t say enough good about it. Will 100% stay here again when returning to Hilo side of the island.'

'We had a wonderful time staying at Mark's place and visiting the NP. Mark is a great host and was invaluable in alerting us to the latest eruptions. Thanks to him, we were able to witness the eruption on July 9th, which was an amazing 1,200 foot tall fountain of lava. You can really tell that Mark put some thought into the cottage and its amenities. We had everything we needed for our visit. Highly recommended!'

'The Mango Cottage was the perfect place to spend our last 5 days on the island. The location is fantastic, the neighborhood is quiet and the cottage is beautifully landscaped and comfortable. Friendly and accommodating hosts made the stay even better. We hope to return soon!'

'We enjoyed the beautiful ocean sunrise sitting on the lanai while watching the birds fly from tree to tree. The sounds of frogs and birds abound in this lush environment. The cottage is well appointed and meets all your needs. '

'Great central local position on a great quiet street. Bit warm downstairs as we couldn’t turn the fan on but have the light off at bedtime for the kids. Close to airport, shopping and places to eat. Place was very spacious. '

'Loved everything about this place! The location is great. We walked across the street to watch the sunset every evening, always a stunning show. The house was easy to live in, equipped with everything we needed. We spent a lot of time on the lanai which looks toward the ocean. There’s beach equipment, and the beaches are a very short drive from the house. There’s also a park at the end of the street where you can get in the water if you’re on the more adventurous side. 'What a wonderful retreat! We loved everthing about this visit. Property was clean, host was delightful and the rainforest ambiance can't be beat. Cute hot tubs and dipping tanks in the rainforest lent itself to unique experiences for us. Would recommend!'
