'Great little farmhouse but the storm that rolled in was scary '

'Charming home. You can feel the history in the house and on the entire property. Sitting on the porch in the evening and just watching the fireflies come out, the deer passing through, and hearing the wild turkeys above us, so serene. We spent the days touring Gettysburg and Harpers Ferry taking in all the history and then returned home and we would think about thr history that took place here. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and where you can unwind but still be close to everything...

'I cannot say enough great things about our stay. Beautiful scenery, quiet and cozy. Our host was very accommodating and replied instantly to a message I accidently sent to them (late at night at that) This would be a great home to stay at for a break of the city life.'

'The Happy Hen was the perfect spot for my wife and I and our two children, aged 10 and 6. Minutes away from the battlefield, with a very convenient Dollar General just down the road, the HH was cozy and delightful. We intend to stay again in the future.'

'No silk flower arrangements or annoying attempts at decorating. The space was clean, exactly as described, the kitchen space was helpful, and the bed a welcome respite.The only thing that would make it better is a Keurig! Gotta have brewed coffee first thing!'
