They really care about the rainforest and work with a local wildlife rescue that rescues animal and rehabilitates them to go back into the wild. 'Great property. Lovely location. Quiet. They really need to get 24 hr electricity and air conditioning. Also, the food looked amazong but didnt taste good. So definitely need improvement in that aspect. Cocktails were great. '

'Reserva Amazonica is a beautiful property located 40mins by bost from Puerto Maldonado. We spent 2 nights there and generally had a good experience. The lodges are beautiful, clean and well equipped and staff is really nice and attentive. The nature surrounding the hotel is beautiful and there are some small animals / birds that can be found on property. The included excursions are interesting (we mostly enjoyed the canopy walk and lake Sandoval). Unfortunately, we were there during a cold spell...

'Roland makes you feel welcome right away. Family setting meals and knowledge from the area make it all worth it. This is part of a true Jungle experience and you cannot put a price on the peacefulness of the property being right next to the Tambopata. Highly Recommended.'

Also, it seemed the room was recently u der constructions and there were some things out of place. Tv was not working at first and it was replaced.'

'Hotel mas que hostel, a 10 minutos andando a la Plaza de Pto Maldonado y a 3 minutos del mercado central. Interiores bien, aunque algo oscuros. Habitacion muy tranquila, limpia, con armarios y mesas suficientes. Lo mejor el personal, pues los dueños son como de tu familia por el trato amable, las facilidades y el desayuno excepcional con zumo natural, huevos y mucho mas. Muy comodo y barato, repetiria por el trato humano y el precio.'
