« It was a nice get away for our wedding anniversary. We were able to bring our dogs and use the private strip of beach a couple of cottages away. This was a great quiet trip. The only thing that could have been better is the AC in the cottage. A window unit is provided but with 90 temps it couldn’t keep up. »

« Great for our very busy boys--right across the street from the beach, 3 min walk to a very clean, fun park. Quick drive to stores. Easy to get in/out of the house, plently of comfy beds and amenities. »

« This listing says cottage but it's an apartment. Be ready to go up stairs to get into it. The kitchen is small but fine. Everything works, but it's not especially well equipped for cooking. The coffee maker does not work. Our checkin was delayed for about 40 minutes when we arrived and we had no where to stay while waiting for our apartment. Wi Fi was very weak in the apartment and TV is like a hotel where there are certain channels available but no way to sign in to your own streaming accounts....

« If you’re looking for a place for you to have a safe space with your family, young or old, with all the amenities that you would want from your own home this is it. If you’re a veteran, there’s multitude of bases nearby with commissary’s to get groceries for the week to help the budget. »

« Key Cottage was charming and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were standout fabulous - modern, great water pressure, and spacious. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can imagine needing. We loved the location, on a quiet corner in the cute village of Irvington with so much to walk to and do. The only problem we had was getting into the lockbox when we arrived, but they arranged for someone to run down and help us out. »

« We loved staying at Sandy Mutts ! Communication was great , location and access to the beach was convenient and perfect as well. We only stayed for a couple of nights but it was just what we needed. We brought our chihuahua and kitty along and they were comfortable and happy. We did bring our own towels and it worked for us. « We had an amazing time on the river! We had planned on going out to explore but it was so relaxing and inviting in the home we didn't want to leave. We ending up getting groceries nearby and eating in.The views and river were excellent. I did quite a bit of fishing and if crabbing is your thing they are abundant off of the pier. « The cottage was clean and exactly as the picture. It was at 5 minutes walk from the ocean, perfect. However, The codeed lock broke and we lost half a day locked out side. Also, we lost the Wifi connexion on wenesday and the onwer did nothing to get the Wifi back. Result. No connexion, for the major part of our stay (4/7days). This situation had a major impact on our trip because the wifi was our only way to be able to use our cellphone. Activities reservation, Uber eat sercives, emmergencies...

« We showed up and found a clean and cool spot to stay the night. The beach access is only a 5 minute walk to the bay. This was spectacular! We were also only 1 mile from Jessie's Taquaria which is thr Mexican food in Norfolk. Overall this property checked all our boxes. »

« My family of five really enjoyed our stay in this cute cottage. Loved the view of the water as well as the ability to access the water and have a nice area to walk around. Love that it was very close to Cape Charles, but not directly in the hustle and bustle. Cottage was very clean And had good sleeping arrangements for our family of five with three teenagers. The bathroom was very spacious and also clean. It was very convenient to have towels and bedsheets provided. We did not use the kitchen...
