'We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. '

'This place was amazing! So clean and SO creative. Lots of cute frog-themed touches. They definitely put heart in to developing this oasis. Definitely arrive in the afternoon if possible so you can enjoy the property. The waterfalls and creeks are gorgeous! Be sure to eat before you arrive or bring food, as nearby options are limited. 'I was in Hilo for a month for work and stayed at Maggie's place. It was perfect for me in all ways - fantastic location, nice complex, very clean, lovely lanai, close to a beautiful park for walks/jogs. Various places to eat or get groceries that are within a 10 min walk or a couple of mins drive. Maggie was an exceptional host, very quick to respond and very kind to me on my arrival after a 25h trip. 'The entire property was magical--such a peaceful and serene area. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Owl Nest. The property was equipped with everything I needed, making my experience completely comfortable. One of my favorite details was how, by opening all the curtains, you feel almost as if you’re sitting outside.
