'Absolutely stoked about how this hostel turned out. So clean and tidy. The private room I stayed it was nice and spacey with room to move around and dry my clothes for the next day of skiing. Bathrooms were so clean and convenient. Would happily stay here again, especially for the low cost! '

'My friend and I had a wonderfully relaxing and quiet time at Up the Creek. We were the only ones there for two days, so we picked a great time to go! They have a fully kitted kitchen with everything avaialble to cook up your meals. We took all our own food so our two days away from the city was super inexpensive. We spent time relaxing by the fire, knitting and reading, or out walking the local area. This place is very clean. 7 minute walk (downhill) to the ocean front (bit of an incline to walk...

'I had a very hard time locating the unit. I was tired tired tired. Missed the stairwell and then walked very far out of my way with my suitcase. It was dark when I checked in. A ride via golf cart- would have been amazing. Still. Great price and convenience and loved staying on campus. '

'The hostel is very simple, the owner is very nice. However he is not always present, and therefore we had to fall him upon our arrival which has costed us 5€ extra as we are not Canadian!'

'Stayed in a two bedroom There was a lot of noice from out side and inside In the morning the showers from the floor above us were leaking in the showers on our level. The building, beds etc is just very old and needs work. The people who work there were super nice! '

'Het hotel is een beetje vergane glorie, maar netjes en schoon. Er is altijd iemand aan de balie om allervriendelijkst te helpen. Je hebt geen eigen bad en WC, maar wel een koelkast. Er is ook een gezamenlijke keuken waar je zelf een kopje thee kunt zetten of eventueel eten kunt maken. De locatie is ideaal. Vlak bij een halte van de skyline die naar het vliegveld gaat en het Stanleypark is maar op 4 km afstand dus het hele centrum is goed te belopen vanuit het hotel. Ook de opstap van de ferry...

'The outside of the hostel (especially our Neighbours) was not really inviting. The hostel needs to be renovated. The receptionist was friendly and explained us where to go ( and NOT to go...). We can NOT say that is was dirty. You could not see dirt and the washtable and toilet were clean, but because everything was SO old it didn't felt clean. We saw a little lost mousy mouse on the staircase and a rat in the backyard. We payed two nights but only stayed one because we overheard a younger...

'I do not know about the property but about Expedia. The property has changed owner and my Expedia reservation was useless; no room available. The link "send a message to the property" links to an email of a store located in the same building, with no relation to the hostel. Pity the hostel has not a reservation page, for Expedia was useless to me.'
