Great personnel, comfortable beds and of course: the Caribbean Sea! All in all, we had a great experience! The only constructive feedback I can give is to pay more attention to people with food allergies.

Nice hotel

I have said at a few different RIU's in Cabo and Cancun. I hate to say this was not one of the better ones. Very old, the rooms were old. The elevator was terrible. Always waiting sometimes over 10 minute wait Took the stairs one tiime along with several other quest. Location going down the beach was rocky had no place to sit near the water. The ocean was after all the huge rocks. Other resorts down the beach were beautiful and clean. The Riu in Cabo was so much better.

Paid for upgrade and than room wasn’t ready for 3 days. Pool had broken tiles everywhere. Rooms were very out dated and super small. Wife got stuck in the elevator and the emergency phone was out of order. She pressed the alarm and nobody ever came. She pried the doors open and jumped out Halfway from second floor and had my toddlers jump into her arms. The worst part is how the staff hounds you a million times to buy the members package no matter how many times you say no. I finally heard the pitch to find out it’s a $130,000 package for the lowest level. They will beg you to take it every time they see you all the way to the end when your ride shows up to take you to the airport. I highly recommend never going here and never take the travel insurance with Expedia it’s useless if the resort has a no cancellation policy. I should have did my homework first I tried canceling the next day and every day 3 months prior to the trip. A total nightmare and waste of a good vacation. A tent on the beach would have been better even with the major seaweed problem making the beaches unusable and the water mud brown and the smell of the whole resort was as if the septic tank blew up. Stay away from this place

The check in seemed nice, we got a wet towel and a drink which was really tasty, the check in itsself lasted way too long, im not exaggerating when im saying it took at least half an hour. The room and the pools were really nice. We did a round trip and of all the places we've been to the staff in this hotel was the least friendly. There are red cabs outside the hotel. They charge like 3 times the normal price. Ordinary cabs aren't allowed to pick up people from/nearby hotel. If you try to catch one on his way out, they will tell you they are off service. We got a number from an ordinary cab driver, but he didn't dare to come to our hotel. This hotel stinks. The staff will tell you they have nothing to do with the red cabs, but surely they do. We also went to the steak restaurant. We asked for the tenderloin steak with no fat. -. - 1/3th of our steak was fat. The prices for the food are quite high and u have to order every side dish apart from your steak. So if you order a steak, you will get just the steak. We ordered the roasted potato, but it was underdone. Then when we got the bill they charged us a steak that was almost twice as expensive. At first they tried to tell us that we made a mistake, which i think is really odd. They charged us for something different than we had ordered, it was really that easy, but they acted as if they didn't understand. Took them about 30 minutes to understand, and after all the fuzz they still had the guts to try and charge us gratuity.
