Castaway is a great place to stay at Cocos
Cocos Castaway was recommended to us by friends and it didn't disappoint. We booked an oceanfront bungalow with two bedrooms for our family of 3 adults. Our bungalow is Balinese inspired with lots of timber, thatch look ceiling, and tropical flower artwork. It's lovely and so well setup with lots of extras like washing machine (in the large bathroom) and washing powder, pegs, basket, and drying rack supplied. There are clothes lines as well on the side of the building but we didn't use them because we had a lot of rain showers. There was soap supplied but you would need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash as needed. They supply bath towels and beach towels and large umbrellas. It is literally right across the road from the airport (and the club and Salty's cafe) so on arrival we were greeted by Annelies and walked across to our bungalow.
The kitchen is also very well setup with plenty of extras like coffee plunger, esky, water container, thermos, frozen cooler blocks and ice trays. They supply a litre of milk in the fridge and tea,coffee,sugar,salt and pepper, and cooking oil. There's a microwave, two burner hot plate, a large electric frypan, kettle and toaster. The back verandah had table chairs and hammock and a lovely view of the ocean. Aircon was great for taking out the humidity, beds are comfortable and plenty of hangars supplied. Thanks Annelies for looking after us so well, we loved Castaway.
