'Convenient location for Auburn and Skaneateles touring. Quiet as a church mouse. Historic old inn, former boys school built in 1851. Breakfast is enough to get you by. Bar and restaurant are only open for special events but you are welcome to enjoy the dining room and porch with your morning coffee, pastry and yogurt. You will probably be joined by the owner and others. Good place to chat about the area and local history. Or they’ll leave you be if you want your privacy. .'

'I was in a room on the 1st floor because I can't go up a lot of stairs. I was only there for one night. The sign is hard to see at night, that's how I drove right by it. This room came with its own bath which was great. The tub was a bit too steep and needs to have something to mitigate slipping, maybe accessibility bars on the side. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and tidy, I much appreciated that.'

'Beautiful property, quaint interior and very well maintained, ***very clean*** Would recommend better signage and or reflective lights at driveway entrance. Easy to miss in the evening which I did several times. I would definitely stay here again.'

'Shadowcrest was fantastic! The owner, Brendan, does a great job and makes sure you have every need taken care of. The rooms are clean and well sized, the common areas are homey and quaint, and the bathrooms are modern and well decorated. Would stay there again!'
