Resting in the heart of Townsend, Red Door Cabin is nestled at the foot of a ridge inside a wooded cove. Perfect for honeymooners, empty nesters, and small families, the newly renovated Red Door Cabin provides modern amenities and a rustic feel that will satisfy the needs of anyone looking for a home away from home.

Designed as a studio, the Red Door Cabin is best suited for couples or families that are comfortable sharing a single room. Between the king bed and the sleeper sofa, a family of 4 could comfortably sleep in this beautiful, updated cabin.

A hot tub, granite countertops, and brand new appliances create an upscale and luxurious environment. Red Door Cabin also comes equipped with High speed internet, cable TV, and a 55" smart TV. While the cabin is modern and up to date, the gas fireplace and wood finishes create a rustic ambiance.

Red Door Cabin is a 20 minute drive from historic downtown Maryville which is home to great restaurants, live music, and a small town charm that is characteristic of East Tennessee. It's also a 20 minute drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with all of the hiking and scenic views it has to offer.

I’ve stayed at their property next to this one before so I knew what to expect, it was amazing. Property was clean and had ample towels, etc… Hot tub was clean and kept its temperature. Location to Townsend and the Smokies is perfect. Prompt communication with the host.

The cabin is very nice for a one room cabin. We found the cabin very clean except for the stairs and front porch which were not swept. The bath was nice enough but the shower floor is somewhat uneven due to the style, (Pebble’s/rock), and the towels were not soft but were rather stiff. The location of the sofa doesn’t lend itself to sitting and watching the TV which wasn’t an issue for us but might be for someone who wants to sit and watch TV. We found the bed uncomfortable and had a hard time falling asleep. The sheets were rather course and scratchy. The mattress was too firm for us. Also the bedside lamps are turned on with a rocker switch, on the cord, and it is on the floor. So to turn on the lamps you have to get out of the bed which can be inconvenient. We were supposed to stay for two nights but actually decided to come on home a day early after spending the day in the Cove. The owner has been very easy to deal with and was very responsive to all of our pre-trip communications. We would not want to rent this particular unit again.

Absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was very clean and really nice. The area around the cabin was nice too. I really loved being surrounded by all the trees. And I know I'm crazy but there was moss right by the back porch that looked so soft that I had to climb over the rail to lay on it! I just breathed in the fresh air and relaxed.Just a note, you can see 2 cabins from the front porch and the fire pit area. The fire pit is sort of close to another cabin's driveway but it was not an issue for us and we barely saw our neighbors. You can only see the forest from the back porch, but there's not a ton of space to hang out back there because of the hot tub and the fact that the cabin is built on a slope. We still felt very isolated in spite of that even though the cabin is less than 10 min from Townsend.The only con was that I wish we had been told that lawn services would be around the cabin during our stay. We would have arranged our outings differently if we had known when the lawn was getting mowed.

The cabin was easy to get to, felt rural, but was actually only 25 minutes to Pigeon Forge for dinner, and of course plenty of restaurants in Townsend as well. Very clean, thoughtfully designed and furnished. The hot tub was hot and ready for us, and we enjoyed that after a day in the park. Our host communicated with us as needed. We would recommend this place and plan to come back again.

The Red Door is perfectly appointed for a couple visiting the Townsend area. The location puts you in the middle of everything and plenty of flat parking. This was our 3rd stay at the colored doors and have enjoyed all of them. Comfy beds, steamy hot tub, and overall peace and quiet! We couldn’t have asked for a better cabin for our trip!
