« This property needs to be revamped and better clean up. Underneat the stove accumulation of dried food , wallpaper peel off and baseboard rotten in master bathroom. In laundry room cabinet all dirty inside. No soap for washing machine, i went to buy lighter cause the bbq ignitor didnt work. Each room has only one washcloth for 2 people. it doesn t worth the price we paid »

« The country Nook is a fabulous, comfortable and cozy retreat steps away from Stratford. We had a beautiful time and enjoyed all the amenities. »

« It was a short notice getaway for my wife and I. Betty Mae and the property were fantastic. We wanted quiet, away from high tempo and got it. Betty Mae and her husband saw I was going to set up a telescope to enjoy the night sky and jumped in to help. We slept well and couldn't get over the peace and quiet. Best way to describe the property is full of places of solitude. If you go try and find the catalpa. It's a beautiful specimen. I found the heated floor switch too late, but that's on me....

« We stayed at this cabin for one night to celebrate our 18-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! It’s a beautiful, private, and secluded spot that gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for. With no cell service, we were able to completely disconnect from our phones and really reconnect with each other, such a blessing.The king-sized bed on the main floor was super comfy, and at night the view of the stars was breathtaking. « Picturesque little cabin in the woods exactly as described. Unfortunately the cloud cover overnight blocked out the stars as it would be a nice spot for star gazing. »

« The water's edge being immediately off the deck along with the big picture windows was magnificent. We certainly made the effort to awaken to watch the sunrise each day. The swing between the cedars looking out over the view was also a highlight. The surrounding trees and shrubs provided excellent privacy. The cottage was set up with all the needed items to cook pretty much anything you wanted - which included an exceptionally clean BBQ too! Our stay was a perfect couple of days 'out of time'...

« Our group spent NYE at this location, and had a fantastic time. The host was very easy to reach and we had no issues checking in or out. It is a great rustic spot with an old-timey feel but updated amenities. »
