  • Ontsnap naar dit prachtige boshuisje, gelegen op 40 acres privéterrein, midden in de natuur en vol wilde dieren – zoals herten, wilde kalkoenen en zangvogels. Op slechts 15 minuten van de zandstranden van Turkey Point en Port Dover biedt dit afgelegen toevluchtsoord de perfecte mix van rustieke charme en gemak.

    Op de begane grond staat een ruim kingsize bed, terwijl de zolder een gezellig queensize bed heeft met een prachtig uitzicht op de vuurplaats. Er is ook een slaapbank voor extra gasten, waardoor het ideaal is voor gezinnen of kleine groepen.

    Geniet van rustige ochtenden met koffie op de veranda, verken de omliggende bospaden of kom tot rust bij het vuur onder de sterrenhemel. Of je nu op zoek bent naar een romantisch uitje, een vakantie midden in de natuur of een uitvalsbasis voor stranddagen – deze hut heeft het allemaal. The host was great. Friendly and very easy to engage with. The property was peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean and cozy. They offer things like a bbq and dishes and fire wood included in the rental. The whole experience was great for me and my sisters and we plan on returning next year.

A lovely stay. Was clean and private and the host saw to all our needs. Tips for the next guests, no need to bring additional dishes. There are cards and games on site. Extra chairs, pots and pans for the bbq, a few rolls of toilet paper. The lot itself is very sandy so bring shoes you dont mind getting sandy. Overall we were pleased with our stay!

Had a great time at cabin..Lots of places to check out nearby..Only problem was that I couldn't get the BBQ working..Very private..can't wait to go back...

This stay was as advertised. Our group rented 2 of 3 bunkies on the property and had no issues. We didn’t explore the property very much as we spent our days at nearby beaches. I didn’t clue in that it was a shared, stand alone bathroom/shower central to the 3 bunkies (I thought they were attached and private) but likely I didn’t read thoroughly enough. Host was friendly, responsive, and had more amenities available than expected. If the forecast calls for hot weather, be sure to bring fans!

The perfect tiny cabin, glamping style get away. Very simple and just like advertised. The communal bathroom and the cabin were very clean. The host was wonderful to deal with and had great communication. My only critiques is that the outdoor area could use a little clean up and organizing. The main mattress was a tad sunk in.

We had such an amazing weekend at this cabin! The cabin itself is adorable, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Nestled among the trees, it felt peaceful, private, and was the perfect place to unplug and spend quality time together. One of the highlights was the outdoor space. My 11-year-old twins absolutely loved having the freedom to explore, play in the sand, and just be kids in a safe, open environment. They spent hours outside making memories, which made the trip even more special for our family. The host was incredibly communicative, friendly, and responsive from start to finish, making everything easy and stress-free! We had so much fun and created wonderful memories here. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway!

Description of property could use some tweaking. We did not expect to have to heat cabin with a tiny (size of a double toaster) and a heat lamp. It was difficult to keep cabin warm so would recommend better heating system. Cabin was clean but the outside was messy with items strewn around the property. Porta potty was very clean and hot shower was nice.

My close friends and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. There were enough beds for our group and the facilities ensured we enjoyed home comforts while also living up to promises of quiet and solitude in nature. We had long chats by the fire by night and hiked in the surrounding Backus conservation area by day. We will definitely be back in the future!

The location of the cabin was a bit tricky to find, but once I found it, the experience was great. It's very private and close to nature, the cabin and surroundings were as clean as a nature retreat can get. Firewood for both the wooden stove inside and the fireplace outside was provided, which was amazing for someone who's not used to being in nature. As it was still cold, even freezing, when I was there, there were barely any bugs around!I'd have loved the convenience of a washroom in the cabin, but the shared one was close and we'll maintained. The warm water was nice after a cold night!The host was easy to communicate with and was very helpful with everything that came up during my stay.The only thing that was a bit scary was coming down from the loft-like upstairs bedroom, coordinating how to get down from there was complicated as the stairs are very steep.Thanks for everything, and if I want to book a cabin again, I'll definitely book this one!

This place is a gem! We needed a peaceful escape from the city and we chose this retreat due to its proximity to provincial parks. The cabin was immaculately clean, cozy and welcoming. It's even nicer in person. The king sized bed is very comfortable. We really appreciated how well stocked the property is, from extra blankets, to a spare flashlight, dishes, firewood, pans, extra chairs, and even water sandals for the shower. There is a portapoty conveniently located right outside the cabin, an outdoor cold shower, and a full 3 piece washroom with a warm shower just steps away. This cabin is very private and surrounded by trees. Our stay was in the spring and it got quite cold at night. There is a small wood furnace but it doesn't do much to heat up the cabin, so I would recommend bringing an extra duvet if you're visiting in the colder months. The host was very responsive and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay. This cabin is good value for the money and we're looking forward to visiting again.

When we were there was not a lot of mosquitoes just used bug spray and coils and could stay out all night. There’s a mini fridge and barbecue on the property which wasn’t in the posting. Had a great time and the host answered our question throughly and quickly

We stayed at this cabin for one night to celebrate our 18-year anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect! It’s a beautiful, private, and secluded spot that gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for. With no cell service, we were able to completely disconnect from our phones and really reconnect with each other, such a blessing.The king-sized bed on the main floor was super comfy, and at night the view of the stars was breathtaking. The location is also fantastic, just a quick 15-minute drive to the beach, and the nearby Eco Adventure Park was exactly what we needed to add a little fun and activity to our getaway.The owner was wonderful to communicate with and made everything easy from start to finish. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful escape

The cabin was clean, neat and so cute! There is a modern bathroom with a toilet and tub. Outdoor shower is beside cabin. The place is quiet and secluded and perfect for a nature get-away. You need to bring in some firewood and a lighter to have a small fire to cook food as there is no stove or hotplate. There is a covered picnic table area and briquet barbeques for cooking. There is electricity, and a tiny fridge. There are even some games - Uno and a deck of cards, very thoughtful. It has a few dishes, dish soap and a little sink to wash - bring drinking water, can't drink the water. Finding the cabin was difficult. Once you get in the property, off the main road, there is no signage to guide you to the cabin. I was very frustrated. I suggest the owner put some signs to point to the different cabins and a sign to say do not enter, dead end, as there is a long path that leads to no where. The owner responded immediately to my help text and guide me to the cabin - so appreciated this! What a kind person and very nice. A little mat on the deck would be helpful to keep the sand out of the cabin and a small broom and dustpan to sweep the sand that does get tracked in. I would like to go again if the price was a bit less. He does give discount midweek, very thoughtful. It's close to Port Dover, 15 mins. Overall good time, quiet and peaceful get away with a wonderful, responsive host! Thank you for making your cabins available - I will be telling many people to go to them!

On arrival, there was an old pair of sandals outside the front door of the cabin, two dirty towels/rags hanging on the line, and the fire pit area was untidy. It gave us the impression that someone may be inside the cabin. There were no top sheets on the beds and the fitted sheets weren't clean (sand felt all along one and hair found on the other). The floor needed to be swept. The faucet in the cabin was not hooked up correctly and when the water temperature was changed, water poured on the ground. There is a large gap after the last step to go up to the loft, we did not feel comfortable with our younger kids sleeping up top, so we did. On a more positive note, the host was very polite and incredibly responsive. He sent a cleaner over promptly to sweep and put clean sheets on the bed including a top sheet as requested. The property has lots of potential but needs more attention to detail overall.
