Cottages in Lihue-Koloa Forest Reserve

'We enjoyed our briefly stay at the Coral Reef Hotel. The room was dated and 80’s vibe but when we pulled back the curtain and stepped out on our lanai on the ground floor we knew that Kauai’s ocean, reef and beauty would be ours for 2 beautiful days. At last minute we had to extend our stay and the staff was very accommodating and did not make us change room locations. Aloha spirit'

'This place has everything you need. Ocean, pool, hot tub, pool bar, room kitchenette. Right next to stores and a big ABC market. It’s the best. The grounds are amazing. Emaculate. Hundreds of local plants, many labeled so you might learn something. The rooms are not renovated, but they’re clean and comfortable. It’s kind of like staying in Baja. I would say don’t renovate if that would mean the prices would go up. But I’d consider getting rid of the cheesy beach art. I love the actual photos...

'Location and property grounds are great. Standard king room, bathroom small, only one person at a time, with single sink, and very poor lighting. No vanity area outside of bathroom or even an electrical outlet so one person could dry hair and do makeup while other uses shower. Air conditioning units in room are very old and loud. We had to change rooms after the first night because it kept us awake. Reported next morning & no one checked til late afternoon, told us bearing broken, so they...

'Condo was old and dated. Parking limited but generally no problem finding a space. Not a smart TV so couldn’t connect to Netflix or cast to TV from phone. Never could get cable TV to work despite trying to follow written instructions. Location convenient to getting around island and airport.'
