Niihau - The Forbidden Island

Location, Location, Location. Yes, it has the perfect location for Waikiki. Rooms were OK, quite small for 4 people, but the large sliding doors opening up to the balcony were great to extend the room. Aircon was quite noisy first night, but seemed better the other 2 nights. Wasn't informed they only clean every 3 days and requested cleaning after 2 nights, which was confirmed, but then didn't happen. Too bad. We did get late checkout till 6PM (at a fee) which helps for a 9.25PM flight out! Also, beach towels available for the beach is great.

We had 3 adults staying there. It was advertised for 3 adults, however, the futon foldout was only big enough for a kid. We took pictures of our adult kids and their heads went over the futon. However. After complaining, the owners dropped off a double/queen blow up mattress, about the 3 day into the stay, meanwhile one of the kids had to move into our room. So, bad news, the room was not set up for 3 adults, but good news after days of complaining, the bed was corrected.

This is a pretty new house that is located up in Mākaha Valley. It has a beautiful view of the mountains above the valley. It is only a short drive down to the local surfing beach as well as other local beaches. Our party of six was very comfortable here.
