Family Vacation 2025

Great property. Very convenient, comfortable and decorated nicely. We had a family vacation that included a total of 15 family members. We rented two cottages to accommodate everyone.Lots of fun and great memories had by all.

Perfect!

We had a great stay at Starfish Cottage. Plenty of space for our family - two grown kids and my mother in law. Check in was a breeze and the unit comes with all the beach chairs and toys you need. The dock and canal is a great bonus so we brought our jet ski. That added a whole new level to this beach trip!

Hidden Gem

We came down to visit our son in the Airforce and he told us to stay in Mexico Beach. This property was only a short block from the beach and had everything we needed. I usually don’t sleep well when I travel but this felt like home. It was well appointed and quiet. We hope to be back!

Fun Family Beach Trip!

We enjoyed our stay exploring Mexico Beach! The beach house was fantastic, and incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for everyone. The reviews we read were spot on, and the easy access to the beach was a huge plus. Kristen was great to work with, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Mexico Beach is much quieter than 30A, has lots of new construction in the area, is clean, and has some great restaurants. It will not be long for this area to be very popular. It was a great stay and will definitely come back!

Fabulous Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We brought our boat and jet skis and have a phenomenal time. Cottage was clean and well stocked - you really don’t need anything but food and clothes. Owner was amazingly quick with communication and a joy to rent from.

Great location with plenty of space

This was the first time I stayed in a place not directly on the beach. However, the walk is so short it felt as though we were directly on the beach. We had an amazing time. We enjoyed the coffee shop and Mango Marleys were all an easy walk to enjoy. The home was clean and had planet of room. We really enjoyed the balconies. I plan to come back and stay here again. It was a very relaxing stay for us all.

Wonderful Get-away!!

We really enjoyed out stay! The only issue we had was keeping the littles off the stairs. LOL But it was great, no issues and would recommend it highly for a family or friends to enjoy.

All you need and more!

Our family of four stayed late July and loved the space, location and amenities! We could have comfortably added another family in the home. All the kitchen supplies and beach supplies you need and more. We made use of the paddle board, fishing supplies and beach wagon. Loved the location on the canal - we saw four manatees right off the private dock! Only saw them one afternoon, so not sure if it was a rare occurrence but it was amazing. Very easy, short walk to the beach, thanks to the provided wagon. The water quality was excellent and the same as the rest of Mexico Beach (was initially worried about being close to the canal outlet). Would definitely stay here again! Kristin was amazing at communicating. Walked to Shell Shack for fresh fish, walked to coffee shop, Crazy Beach Pizza, Marina and the adorable shops. Location was PERFECTION! Pool was clean and comfortable. Mexico Beach is a gem of a town and we can't wait to return!

Everything We Didn't Know We Needed!

The house was exactly as pictured - we were very happy with the location and all amenities. The owners have thought of everything and the house is well stocked. I panicked when my kids wanted to go looking for crabs at night - I didn't pack flashlights! But of course there were some ready for us in the garage. We will definitely be back!

Amazing accommodations for a PERFECT week!

Just bring yourself! This home has it all! We had two families (4 adults and 4 kids) and just needed a quick trip to the grocery. These owners supplied the chairs, toys and the carts to carry it all to and from the beach! Very spacious with beautiful views! Don’t let the walk across the street stop you from booking here - it was a PERFECT vacation! We will definitely be returning!

Cousins Weekend

The Starfish Cottage proved to be the perfect house for seven adult cousins of various ages to get together and enjoy each other’s company for a long weekend. The house is spacious and spread out enough over three floors that we never felt cramped or crowded. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house and enjoyed all the comforts of home while being in a beautiful beach area. On the backside of the cottage is a water canal with a boardwalk. We weren’t able to stroll around it as it is currently under repair, but once it is completed it will be nice to walk around to the pool. The Waterside Village pool is large, the water sparkling clean, and the design provided ease of entry for all ages. Our weekend proved to be a beautiful one and we enjoyed being able to walk across the highway to access the beach. The only concern with the house was the two levels of stairs that made it a little difficult for some to maneuver, but we managed them very carefully. Everyone agreed they would love to return very soon!

Great Place for a Family

House was nice & had plenty of room for our 4 Adults & 3 Children party. Everything is nice, clean & well maintained. The only small thing I had concerns about was the dock area. It had shards of wood & screws sticking up which was a concern with us & children stepping on & hurting our feet. One of the boards to the steps to the dock is loose & about to fall off which is a falling hazard. Other than that everything else was great.

Perfectly Appointed and Convenient

Our group of 5 very much enjoyed our recent visit to Starfish Cottage. Mexico Beach is what we were looking for with its laid-back feel and little traffic. The unit was very well furnished with all we needed for our stay. Great beach amenities as well

The house was very clean and comfortable. Host has some nice amenities for enjoying the beach.

Great stay. Lovely furnishings, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Lot’s of stairs with no bedrooms on first floor so not for people with mobility issues. Was great for my family though. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Excellent experience, will come again

I came with a group of friends for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. The house was very nice and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, including usable knives. While the master bedroom was beautiful and very comfortable, I don't recommend anyone who is sensitive to light for waking stay in there. The sun rises directly into the bedroom. It was still gorgeous!
