'The location is fantastic, we didn't take our car out once. Very walkable everywhere on the boardwalk to The Wedge Park, took the ferry over to Balboa Island and walked around the whole island, the Pier is there with Ruby's restaurant at the end, a lot of food options around, a park next door. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel and area is also very dog-friendly so we took our dog everywhere with us. 'The beds were pretty comfy. Had a few small dingy components (stain on the floor, drip in the tub) but overall it was comfortable and mostly clean. Most hotel beds hurt my back and I did not wake up in pain so that was really nice. We did not utilize the continental breakfast so I don’t know how the food was but it was nice that it came with the room. I did have a cup of coffee from the lobby and that was a good cup of joe. The room was a little on the smaller side but it wasn’t too bothersome....

'Schone kamer, vriendelijke ontvangst, ontbijt kon beter (maar hebben ook al slechter gehad): elke dag was er roerei, aardappelen, worstjes, wafels, appels, potjes yoghurt, toast…pluspunt is echte borden en echt bestek! Het zwembad is netjes maar wel wat straatlawaai van de Highway. We gebruikten ook de pc en printer van het business center voor het afdrukken van boardingpasses. Er zijn bovendien volop eetgelegenheden en supermarkten in de buurt. Prijs kwaliteit een zeer goed hotel.'

'The rug in front of the bed was wet and the only chair in the room and the closet had dirt and crumps on them, we showed up at 2 to check and were told we had to wait till 4 to check in because they still had to clean our room. I understand sometimes they can get busy and miss little things. But we were told to wait till 4 just to check into a dirty room.'
