The Nomad on Norris Lake is your perfectly unique launching pad for a weekend water retreat or a longer escape! Norris Lake offers some of the clearest, most pristine waters in Tennessee, so you might as well stay right on the water in a floating house!

This 400 square ft. newly remodeled house-on-the-water is thoughtfully appointed for your group’s lake adventures, or for a couple's cozy get-a-way. Accessible only by boat, this floating house offers a unique, fun, and memorable experience! No boat? No problem! A shuttle service is available. We offer a gas grill, patio table and umbrella and chairs, numerous adult floats, air pump for your convenience, paddle boards, kayaks, and ladder off the dock to get you in the water!

Fish right from your front or back porch, enjoy views of a tree-lined shore from the deck, jump off the deck for a swim, or hop in your kayak, or boat for a longer voyage out on Norris Lake.

The Nomad on Norris Lake sits peacefully at Straight Creek Marina in New Tazewell, TN., conveniently located near neighboring marinas. If you are seeking live music, food, and drink, Boathouse at 33 (previously Bubba Brew's) at Beach Island Marina is a 10-15 minute boat ride, while Jimmy's Place Lakeside Bar & Restaurant at Norris Landing Marina is a 20-25 minute boat ride. Prefer a quiet night in? No problem - bring your favorite foods and use the full kitchen (oven/stove, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, sink and dishwasher) and a gas grill is on the deck, with patio table and chairs for a cook-out on the water!

Convenient to East Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio, Norris Lake is the perfect destination for the water or nature lover. Straight Creek Marina is a full-service facility which offers a full rental fleet of Pontoon Boats, Fishing Boats, live bait, and other watercraft.
