Very nice holiday in Malta

Very nice well equipped apartment located in a residential area on the heights. Very calm district and pretty sight on released on the valley the swimming pool and the garden. Mellieha is a strategic place to discover the whole island of Malta as well as Gozo and Camino. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Debono for their warm welcome. They take great care of their guests. We highly recommend. We had a great holiday and we will be back with pleasure.

Great 5 days stay at Villa Lys apartments. Good location with great spar shop 10 mins walk up road and great bar Billy’s next door. Lovely restaurants further on. Pool area lovely with plenty sun loungers. Great balcony with view of pool and surrounding areas. Kitchen good size. Not many utensils but we ate out for tea most nights so not an issue. No bottle opener or hair dryer in apartment but when I asked the owner they delivered both to me. Good location for rest of island with bus stop across from spar but we regularly used Bolt taxi service as there was 4 of us. The owner kindly booked us a taxi from airport and it was there waiting and a reasonable price so we booked the return also. Owner very knowledgable about the local area and the island and even offered to run us into Mellieha bay one night. Local food great. Would highly recommend Nora’s in Mellieha Bay. Would stay again if we come back to Malta. Thank you for a lovely stay

Clean , comfortable, Ray was lovely he arranged a taxi to bring us from the airport when we arrived , took us shopping to get supplies for the duration of our stay .Very helpful as he lives on site , the pool is a blessing

Fantastiskt!

Jättebra läge nära till allt och dessutom i ett lugnt och trevligt område. Värden var jättetrevlig och hjälpsam med allt från skjuts till supermarket till tips och restaurangbokningar. Rekommenderar verkligen stället till alla som vill njuta av en stor pool och fina omgivningar!

A great stay in Mellieha!

The owners Ray and his wife are very warm and welcoming and as they live above the apartments were onhand to answer any questions, give advice and recommendations. The apartment was very spacious, clean and had everything you needed. Location was great, down a quiet road with plenty of parking. Lovely pool and well kept gardens. Within walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for having us. plenty of parking spaces for hire car.

Wonderful apartment in good location

The apartment was nice and clean, perfect suitable for 4 persons. Kitchen is fully equipped, towels and even sun hats were available. Pool and outside area was clean and as shown on description. Good view over Mellieha with little spot of the sea. Location is in calm small street with supermarket, restaurants, and bars in walking distance. Ray is a very kind and courteous landlord, who provided us with some hints for beaches and sightseeing.

Lovely stay

This was a great apartment, great size rooms, just right for a base for exploring the island, close to a couple of lovely beaches and the ferry over to Gozo. A short walk up the road there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops to choose from. Ray and his family were very welcoming and couldn’t of been more helpful. We had a nice balcony area over looking the pool with a lovely view, nice to sit in the evenings. Think the only down side as we were there the beginning of April and so quite early in the year the pool was quite cold, although this didn’t stop the kids enjoying it.

Family friendly holiday in a great location

Great location and a good size apartment with a fair size and clean pool. The villa and the estate are very well looked after the hosts who are friendly, approachable and happy to help with local transport arrangements or shopping. The villa is located in a quiet part of Mellieha with a 10 min walk to local restaurants and supermarkets, 30 min walk to the beach with great bus links. It has been a great holiday well enjoyed by all the family members.

A thoroughly lovely trip to beautiful Malta

This was a fabulous property. Very quiet. Very comfortable. A lovely pool and friendly hosts. A great base to explore the island and Gozo. If I had one tiny comment to make I would have liked a sharp knife and cheese grater in the kitchen but really we managed. The air con is on a meter but I’m all for this. The apartment was lovely and cool and we only used it sparingly which is much better for the environment. Honestly one of the best holidays we have had and we felt really at home at Villa Lyss. Thanks to Ray and his lovely wife.

Perfekte Unterkunft für einen heißen Sommer

Die Ferienwohnung ist modern, sauber und ruhig gelegen. Am besten gefiel uns der Pool mit den Liegestühlen und Sonnenschirmen. Es gab auch extra Handtücher für den Pool. Auch im Bad waren genügend Handtücher vorhanden. Die Klimaanlage haben wir nachts angeschaltet. Sie lief sehr ruhig. Man muss dafür einen Automaten mit ein wenig Kleingeld füttern. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet, es gab alles, was wir brauchten. Sehr freundlich vom Vermieter, der ebenfalls im Haus wohnt, war, dass er für uns etwas zu essen und trinken eingekauft hat. Wir kamen nachts an und waren froh, dass wir nicht mit leerem Magen ins Bett mussten. Der Supermarkt ist auch nicht weit weg und bietet ein großes Sortiment. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und umgänglich. Reiseführer in deutscher Sprache und Flyer über lokale Angebote lagen in der Wohnung.

We really enjoyed our stay We have stayed at many different locations in Malta .This one was by far one of the best Light, clean and airy apartment with access to a very nice pool area. Beautiful and quiet location

Very clean apartment, has everything you'll need for the stay. The property is well maintained and the pool is great. The area is beautiful and quiet. There's a supermarket about a 5min walk away. The host was excellent and I'm certain if I'll ever need to stay in the north of Malta again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

My daughters wedding

Ray & Maria welcomed us with open arms. They helped arrange transport and gave us tips of where to go and how-to find stuff we needed for the wedding. My husband has mobility issues so they selected an apartment for his access needs. They also found him a reliable driver willing at minimal cost to drive him around the island. The apartments are clean, bedding fresh, and Ray & Maria at hand at all times. This location is well worth a visit and Ray’s knowledge of the island and people made a very stressful time a pleasure.

Beautiful Location

The property is very clean and has beautiful views. The host lives at the property and provides a lot of assistance and really wants people to enjoy their their stay. He is very involved and always around. There is a small pool kids can enjoy. We liked staying in the area away from all the crowds. You can get to a bus stop but if you can drive that would be much easier, the bus system is pretty slow.

A really lovely apartment with fantastic views.

A lovely apartment, fully equipped for all our needs. A wonderful setting overlooking Ray's beautiful garden. Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to enjoy the fabulous pool and sun beds. Ray was a superb host who was on hand with recommendations of places to visit and to cater for all our needs, thankyou. Mellieah was an ideal location with various restaurants. We hired a car so we were able to see most of the beautiful island of Malta. We will definitely return to Mellieah and to Ray's apartments.

Tranquilidad, amabilidad y piscina

El apartamento es muy tranquilo. Hay solo otros dos apartamentos al lado con los que se comparte la piscina por lo que muchas veces estabamos solos. Fuimos en agosto y las temperaturas son altas por lo que un chapuzon es necesario Ray fue muy atento, amable y nos dio valiosos consejos.

this property and the host described with one simple word: excellent

the swimming pool with a large terrace equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds gives us a feeling of privacy, and the covered patio serves to hide from the sun during the day. The apartment itself is fully equipped for a stay during the summer. i.e. air conditioning, fridge, fans fully working and without request.
