'We were at the Posada for 2 weeks. All inclusive. The food for a buffet was the best I think in the 20 years that we have been at Ixtapa. We have stayed at several other hotels, but we prefer the Posada. It feels more family then the others. A lot of the staff have been there for years and remembered us. 'The good. Only 6 units so it kept a nice mellow vibe for our 6 night stay. They planted numerous palm trees along the oceanfront providing shade and a tropical scene. 'The hotel is in the tourist area of Ixtapa; basically a row of big hotels where this is one of the furthest away from that centre. Approx. 450-500 yards. You will find the 'towel-people' here (claim a pool chair in the early morning) but there are still plenty available. The pool is not deeper than a yard and rather big.
