'The unit was as depicted in photos. Clean and well equipped. It is very centrally located within Hilo and has easy access to all surrounding areas. The manager was extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. I had a small problem while there and it was addressed and fixed within 24 hours. Very good experience. '

'The property was clean and quiet. We enjoyed the sounds of the coqui frogs and didn’t mind the chickens. It would get stuffy during the day, but it cooled down at night. The fans pretty much blocked out any outside noise. The owner communicated promptly and we had no issues while there. We would definitely stay here again.'

The A/C was fantastic too!! The studio was tastefully decorated, and we appreciated little things like shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower and coffee/tea available to use. 'Even with Vrbo technical difficulties, the hosts were super easy to work with and resolve the issues. The place was clean, in good repair, had excellent views, and was perfect for a few days of relaxing. As soon as you open the back door the sound of the waves crashing and jungle critters puts you at ease. Absolutely loved it! '

I do have one suggestion: considering adding Rubens Mexican to your recommened dining options, as it is a Hilo institution since1979. We actually made a special trip to Hilo to bring back a large order, and I highly recommend it to future guest.
