Ligging prachtig, restaurant redelijk goed.

'Great location, but the hotel is in need of renovation. It is ideally situated within walking distance of the High Street, local attractions, and walking trails. Unfortunately, the hotel looks rather tired, with worn carpets, stains on the carpet in the room, and badly overdue exterior paintwork. The breakfast was a plus, as was the service. The staff were helpful and an issue I raised was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.'

'It is a well-located and welcoming hotel, right by the sea. We heard from other guests that the hotel has recently been renovated. This seems to apply mainly to its appearance, as there are no new modern facilities. For exmample, we were initially a little surprised that there was no air conditioning in our room. That said, the staff and the location still made it a memorable experience. Here are a few useful things to know: * You can park for free behind the hotel, although it can get quite...

'This is a nice hotel in a truly spectaculair situation. And what a vieuw! If you’re looking for luxury and large rooms this is not for you. But it is in a building with character and charm. Nice room and bathroom, clean, good bed and pillows and a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Carpets on the floor, not my favorite in any hotel, not hygiënic. For eldery people the roads are steep and slippery (cobblestones). No parking. Rye is truly charming, well worth a visit! '

'What a stunning place steeped in history. From the beautiful exterior to the historical interior, everything was wonderful and authentic. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the service was top notch. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was great, finishing in the fabulous bar area with the enormous fireplace complete with hidden priest-hole. If you're looking for some ancient and typically British surroundings then you couldn't go wrong with The Mermaid in Rye.'

'Friendly Staff, comfortable and clean room. Very good breakfast.'

'I'

Kamer in orde. Het was dus even zoeken! '

'The place goes by a different name so went passed it at first (spikes lodge) the man that met us at the reception we nice enough gave us a quick run down of things to no. .pros and cons. Cons : they do not serve food here now which was not advertised , so turned up hungry and nothing to eat was told there was a pub down the road Queens head ,which was nice food and the portions are big. The worst sleep I have ever had the bed was so hard (even the pillows ... All of them)I am still in pain ,...
