'We spent two very pleasant weeks in this atmospheric holiday home. We immediately felt at home. It was very pleasant to talk to Janet and Grant, they were always ready with interesting suggestions tailored to our needs. We enjoyed our walks in their beautiful garden. There is much to see in the area, especially for those who enjoy gardens and historic buildings, but there are also plenty of quiet and easy walks that almost literally start from their garden. Highly recommended!'

'We enjoyed this charming little cottage in the center of historical Rye. It was clean, good wifi (important for the kids) and the host reacted fast on my questions. My only remarks, with 4 people an extra comfortable chair would be welcome and we prefer a larger double bed. The short term parking in front of the cottage is convenient to drop off your luggage, there are many longer term car parks only a couple of minutes away. 'very close to the beach, just over the road, its better less stony if you walk about 10 mins to the right, about 5 min walk to reception, lodge is located in a quiet park of the park, I always take a tv as my son is socially anxious, and didnt leave the lodge at all, until we left, I felt it would of been useful to have a tv in the double room, as my son took over the only tv, with his xbox, and i got sent to my room, to watch tv, it was nice having the decking outside, could do with outdoor...

'Last week we stayed at this lovely beach house. The accommodation is very light and spacious, and has enough rooms for our family with three kids. Everything you need is available, including a well equipped kitchen and a lot of (beach)toys for kids. We enjoyed the great views, at any time of day, and nice walks on the beach. 'The house was perfectly located right in the heart of Rye. Opposite one of the best pub/restaurants and minutes walk from all the lovely shops and restaurants of Rye. The kitchen was well kitted out with everything needed to prepare and cook a good meal. And the back patio has lovely views over the fields. There had been a leak just before our stay from the house next door which damaged some of the carpets and walls which the owner kindly prewarned us of, but didn’t cause any functional issues...

'It’s a great location. Right by the beach and with good parking. 4 good sized bedrooms. Suitable for 9-10 people of which 4 have to be kids. Other 6 could be adults (unless more adults want to sleep in bunk beds). Good entrance area for all the beach stuff and a nice pool table room on top of the living room. So even us 9 found plenty of space even in a rainy day.'

'We arrived on Friday afternoon, weather was rubbish !! On entering the property, the warm heating surrounded you. Lovely as it was getting cold outside. Looked around downstairs and upstairs I knew we were going to enjoy our stay. Felt home from home. Equipped with everything you could want. 'The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, it is tiny but perfect for a couple. It has everything you need, an extremely comfortable bed and located in a peaceful lane, so a great place to relax. '

'We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. The town gets busy in the holiday season so you may need to book. The cottage also has a very helpful guide for visitors with lots of tips and advice to improve your stay. The shower extractor...

'We were a little apprehensive, given its close proximity to Pontins and potential car-parking issues with weekend visitors to the beach. Instead this is a quiet friendly estate with some children playing in the street (no playground as far as we are aware) and occasional dog walkers. 'Loved the hut, enjoyed our stay. I brought a 3 course meal with me. So no need to eat out! Lovely and cosy. I would have liked a small saucepan to do porrige in morning. We managed with a big one!! I also wasnt good with lighting the gas rings. I would prefer a long lighter . And no hooks for towels when wet out of shower. In bedroom there were a few cobwebs and spiders in nooks and crannies. Whilst not scared, I felt these had been on ceiling and edges for some time. However bed very cosy....
