Lodges in Battle

'We hadden een driepersoonskamer geboekt, maar die bleek in feite een al krappe tweepersoonskamer te zijn waarin een extra bed was bijgezet. Dat ‘bed’ was niet meer dan een smalle strandstretcher met een matrasje van hooguit twee centimeter dik. Slapen daarop lukte alleen als je stil op je rug bleef liggen. Uiteindelijk heeft onze dochter het grootste deel van de nacht op het randje van ons tweepersoonsbed doorgebracht. De kamer was zo vol dat we onze koffers in de badkamer moesten neerzetten....

'We had a lovely stay at Amelia Cottage while visiting family in Battle. Such a nice and warm welcome from the owner. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The garden is lovely and well maintained with many flowers. The location is perfect, it is close to the playground and to Battle High Street. The local supermarket Jempsons is only a few minutes walk away and that was also very handy. We will definitely book again!'

'The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.'
