'Exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained domain with lots of greenery. Food and wine (produced by the estate itself!) were truly excellent. Quiet and peaceful ambiance, very friendly staff. Easy to reach, close to the A1 motorway. Rooms were a little dated, but comfortable and very well maintained. Close to some beautiful nature areas and lovely Tuscan villages. Siena and Perugia are also very easy to reach.'

'If you are looking for a secluded, quiet Tuscany villa, don't hesitate to book Le Anfore. The grounds are gorgeous, our room was very clean with good air conditioning and plenty of towels. We even discovered a mini fridge on the second day tucked into the tv cabinet. Breakfast included freshly baked (filled) croissants, muffins, hard boiled eggs, fruit, meats, cheese, yogurt and a few other things. Just enough to get you going for the day. 'Beautiful structure in typical local style. Very friendly staff and always ready to answer your questions with a smile. The food at the restaurant is good but not at the highest level you can experience in the area. We enjoyed the location a lot being very close to Pienza and Montelpulciano. Unfortunately the rooms are quite close to the main road and it can get noisy early in the morning. The view on Pienza is simply marvellous as well as the country road to Monticchiello.'

'Whilst the infrastructure and location were classic Tuscany, the hospitality (staff engagement & food) were underwhelming. It never felt welcoming & it was challenging to discern who were the owners, staff or guests.
