'Deze accommodatie ligt vlak aan het meer van Bacalar en heeft een eigen pier. Dit betekent helaas wel dat het vrij ver van het centrum afligt en dat het geluid van de doorgaande weg (inclusief toeterende vrachtwagens) continu hoorbaar is.
Op basis van de foto’s verwacht je in een soort jungle en oase van rust te verkeren, maar helaas zit deze accommodatie dus ingeplet tussen snelweg en meer.

'Vanwege het uitzicht kozen we voor een bungalow. Het uitzicht was inderdaad prachtig, maar de stoeltjes op het balkon waren zeer oncomfortabel. Aan het uiteinde van de pier stonden wel een paar ligbedden. De wifi in het huisje was ronduit slecht, voor wifi moest je naar het hoofdgebouw. Er was weinig kastruimte, alleen een rek met een paar hangers. Koelkastje en kluisje ontbraken ook. Het (overigens vriendelijke) personeel sprak nauwelijks Engels. De tweede nacht was er extreem veel...
'perks- we stayed in cabana #7. it sat right in front of the water so easy access for swimming and kayaking. our cabana was spacious. wish they had a a sofa so we moved the ottoman at the foot of the bed. the grounds is simply refreshing and tranquil. only sound you hear are the waves and birds. such a peaceful place to unwind.
the bartender made the best negroni in all of bacalar!!!
downside- is there no air conditioning but they provided us with 4 fans. it didn’t get cold as we had hoped....
'Looking for the paradise on earth? We found it at MBH. What we loved most? 1) The direct access to the lake, where you can go kayaking or use a paddleboard in the early morning or during the day, enjoying the quietness and beauty of the lake and the surrounding nature. 2) The beautiful scenery in the jungle, far away from the crowds. 3) The room itself had everything we were looking for, we loved the friendly and helpful staff and liked the food at the restaurant. To conclude, we will return! '
'I really enjoyed staying in this beautiful place. The staff was amazing and accommodating. Despite of the amazing experience, there are two things that I hope Cristalino can have in mind to further improve it's guests experiences. I was able to hear the movement of furniture, screeching on the floor, people laughing, and moving things from a room next door. I am not sure what they can do other than asking the neighbors to quiet it down but Im wondering if maybe they can improve how the sound...
