The Space:

Room for the whole group, and close enough to the beach that the car can stay parked. This single-level apartment puts downtown Mount Maunganui's beach, cafés and restaurants within walking distance.



THE LAYOUT

Everything is on one level with no internal stairs. The apartment is on the floor 1 of the building, just above the secure underground car park. Take the lift up with your luggage, or use the short flight of stairs. The two guest bedrooms are at the back, away from the street and the living area.



LIVING

Open-plan living and dining flow out to the balcony. Settle in with Sky TV, Apple TV, unlimited Wi-Fi, books and board games. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable in summer.

A large balcony with a big outdoor dining setting and a BBQ, ready for summer dinners and slow breakfasts outside.

Guest Access:

Arriving by car: drive into the secure underground car park and take the lift up to the ground-floor apartment, or use the short flight of stairs. Arriving on foot: a short flight of stairs or a ramp leads to the apartment, and there's also a door into the car park if you'd like to use the lift.



Your Five Star Focused check-in guide arrives two days before arrival, with step-by-step directions. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. Luggage drop-off is available, and early check-in, late check-out and mid-stay cleans can be requested through the guest app, subject to availability.



The Neighborhood:

You're in downtown Mount Maunganui, about a 10-minute walk from the beach 5min to the cafés, bars, restaurants and boutiques of the main strip. The local Four Square is about a 2-minute walk away. Thai restaurant on the ground floor of the building, a guest favourite.



PILOT BAY

On the harbour side, Pilot Bay has calm water for swimming, paddleboarding and picnics.



WELLNESS

The Mount has become a wellness destination, with oceanfront sauna sessions at The Sauna Project, movement classes at Ō Studio and, a short drive away, Fernland Spa.



RAIN OR SHINE

Baywave TECT Aquatic & Leisure Centre is great for families, and Bayfair Shopping Centre (supermarkets, cinemas and dining) is a short drive away. Tauranga CBD, with waterfront dining and bars, is just across the harbour bridge.



DAY TRIPS

Rotorua's geothermal parks and Māori cultural experiences, the Hobbiton Movie Set, Whakatāne and the Coromandel's beaches are all roughly 1–1.5 hours' drive. Closer to home, Papamoa Hills Regional Park has walking tracks with views across the Bay.



Getting Around:

The beach, downtown restaurants and the Four Square are all walkable, so most guests barely use the car once they arrive. When you do, parking for two cars is included, rare downtown.



Tauranga Airport is roughly a 10–15 minute drive away, and taxis and Uber operate locally. Baybus services connect the Mount with Tauranga and Papamoa. A car is handy for day trips around the Bay of Plenty but not needed for downtown Mount.

- Downtown living: the apartment overlooks a busy street, so expect some traffic and evening street noise, particularly on summer and holiday weekends. The back bedrooms are the quietest.
