Tuesday โ Arrival. After getting ready to shower and lie down for the night, we noticed the shower head was not working; we had only cold water from the faucet, no hot water. The manager stated that they are working to resolve the issue and that it should be resolved within the hour.
Wednesday, the next day, upon waking to a shower or hot water still not working, I requested a room change, as all three rooms on three different levels were experiencing the same issue: no water from the shower head, barely any cold water from the faucet, and still no hot water. We were told someone would be there at 1000 to fix the issue. We arrive back at the hotel later in the evening to find the problem has not been resolved.
Thursday. If I leave, they will reimburse me for the room; however, it may take a few days to receive the money. We did not have enough funds to stay in another hotel, wait for reimbursement, and continue our vacation, so we opted to stay at a hotel without a working shower or hot water, knowing we would be reimbursed at the end of our stay.
Friday โ Saturday, no working shower, barely working faucet with only cold water.
Sunday โ Departed, I was told I would be reimbursed 50% by the managers later in the day, when they arrive. This was said to me by the desk clerk on Saturday night and again on Sunday morning, when we departed. The receipt they gave does not show a 50% reimbursement.
This has been the worst IHG stay at a Holiday Inn Express.
