'Ryokan Hakuhou allows for a very traditional japanese experience. A traditional room, neatly kept and traditionals baths. Do note that the showers are not private but open like the baths. The hotel is in the middle of the city with all conventient places no more than 5 minutes walking.'

'This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

'Resort meraviglioso, con personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo alloggiato per una notte ed abbiamo provato sia i bagni privati che il ristorante per la cena. Cena buonissima, abbondante e con un ottimo servizio. I bagni pubblici sono accessibili solo se non si hanno tatuaggi, o se piccoli devono essere coperti. Nel souvenir shop vendevano dei patch per coprire i piccoli tatuaggi. Super consigliato '

'It was a very unique experience. They were agreeable, and when language was a barrier, even those who didn't know English, they were fluent enough to understand what you were saying and what you wanted/needed and delivered promptly. While I did attempt to use my limited Japanese, it was just that, limited. Whenever I'm in Kyoto again, I would likely come back to this Inn.'
