'Clean room, great amenities, great view of Lake Ashi'

'We loved our stay! The room was quiet and comfortable. We loved the public baths and breakfast (we didn't have dinner with our room). The staff was very welcoming. There's also a shuttle from the hotel down to the bus stop in Motohakone or it's an easy 15 min walk. '

'We followed all check-in instructions exactly as provided, but had no response from the host during the check-in process — nobody answered when we tried to reach them. Note that there are no nearby places/amenities, and you will need a car to get to this property. There was no communication from the host during our stay or at check-out either. The first we heard of any issue was after checkout, when the host raised a damage claim for something that appears to have pre-dated our stay, with no...

'Suiun was voor ons wel de kroon op ons verblijf in Japan. Wat een ontzettend fijn, zen en rustig hotel. Eten was formidabel, zowel ochtend als avondeten. De algemene Spa en Onsen waren fantastisch. Het personeel was uitmuntend. Mocht je ooit naar Japan gaan, boek deze Ryokan en ervaar de Japanse cultuur. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar Suiun Manami. Wat een schat van een meid. Ze kon ook nog redelijk Engels. '

'Very nice and well equipped family room, great place for family with car'

'Loved loved loved! Wished I had booked this for the entire trip and probably will book again if I return. The home was thoughtfully curated and exactly as pictured. Very scenic drive and quiet neighborhood. Instructions were straightforward with check-in/route/guidelines and host was very responsive. Note: if you are using public transport and have more than a back pack, I suggest catching a ride from the drop off point to the home.'

'Great'

'Beautiful room with a lovely view and private onsen.'

'This felt like a luxury apartment with a private onsen, large tv and bbq. The location itself is near a train station and several bus stops. Please be aware that this property is on a mountain so getting to those might stretch your calf muscles. Lovely location!'

'2泊しましたが、スタッフの対応とお部屋も素敵でした。 お料理も満足で美味しかったですし周りのスタッフの笑顔がとても素敵でした。 又いつか訪れたいです。'

'The property itself is really nice and they offer pick up/drop off from Gora station. Breakfast was good. There isn’t a lot around this hotel so it seems best for those planning to stay at the hotel for meals/amenities/etc. They offer scheduled drop offs at Odawara train station but it’s only convenient for those going back to Tokyo (we were headed to Kyoto and had to take the city bus instead).'

'Great location. Nice place. Close to train and towns'

'The car park is a few minutes walk away from our villa which made us feel chaotic moving our baggages to the villa in heavy rain. We understood the parking lots just outside our villa were dedicated for other 3 rooms and we were not allowed to use, but it ended up only 1 out of those 3 were rented that night. It would be much appreciated if the host could give some flexibility on the parking especially on bad weather. Overall the villa is well equipped and good place for a group of family and...

'clean, comfortable traditional Japanese Ryokan. No english spoken but kind and capable staff. low ceilings. beautiful serene escape in the middle of the city. food was amazing, beautiful, tasty (not always identifiable, but very traditional) and plentiful. would love to go back. '
