'Absolutely lovely hotel, first class service and attention to detail. Staff are extremely helpful and no small request is too much. Food is delicious and the location serene. An outdoor pool with country side views and huge, comfortable rooms at affordable price. Highly recommend and looking forward to visiting again. Superb stay and hospitality thank you '

'Very nice hotel on a very convenient location. Just outside the buzz of Southend pier and city center but in walking distance. Great views over the Thames estuary. The rooms are very well appointed. Great design. But unfortunately not all design is practical. The bathroom is really too small. Room 204 very large, but a tiny bed and an unworkable bathroom. This doesnt add up to comfort. I hope they have rooms with a normal size bathroom. '
