'What a beautifull and very cosey hotel with lovely staf members. We loved our big family room with sea view. We loved the bar and the diner and breakfast. All served nu lovely people. We made some walks in the Lake District. Most beautifull and sometimes challeging. Thanks for everything. '

'Lovely hotel in the square at Cartmel. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and the bathroom was beautiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the service was good.'

'I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles! I eventually arrived at a building signposted as the ‘equestrian centre’ so I drove a bit further and ended up driving around some lane in a woods (surrounded by curious deer and badgers!).
