« La chambre qui nous était allouée était propre mais le linge de lit était usé jusqu'à la corde, le dessus de lit sale. Les toilettes et la douche étaient à part sur le palier et quand vous entriez cela sentait l'urine, bref horrible. »

« Kate and Paul were exceptionally welcoming before the check-in time. They invited us to leave our car in the car park while we went walking for the day. They took our luggage up to our room which went over and above what we would race as good service. Throughout our stay, Paul and Kate were wonderful , friendly, knowledgeable & helpful hosts. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back. »

« Had a wonderful time not far from centre of Ambleside but also a bus stop 5 minutes walk away which can take you to the pier. It was lovely to park up the car and not need to use it until we went home The gardens were beautiful and lovely to sit outside on an evening with a bottle of wine and enjoy the countryside. »

« Warm welcome followed by friendlyness throughout our stay, very quaint house with lots of original features. Very close to carpark, and town but not noisy, we stayed in room 4 at the front. Breakfdt was delicious, room had everything we needed, power shower and comfy bed a bonus, highly recommended »

« The house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished we’d stayed longer than 1 night. »
