'Had a fantastic overnight stay for my wife’s birthday . We kindly got upgraded to a room with a hot tub which was an added bonus . We ate at the pan Asian restaurant which was delicious and the spa was so relaxing . We will definately be returning ! '

'The hotel room was lovely. Couldn’t fault it. Hotel its self is lovely. Nice chilled atmosphere. Where it lets itself down is food. Dinner on first evening was terrible. Chips hard and overcooked. Onion rings hard and dripping in fat. Mussels overcooked and way too salty. Breakfast next morning was lukewarm. '

'Na 13 jaar weer opnieuw naar dit hotel gegaan. Voor de zekerheid een superior kamer geboekt. Volgens de website van het hotel krijg je dan zicht op de tuin of omliggend bos. Bij onze kamer was dat de parkeerplaats. De kamer was op zicht prachtig, ruim en goed ingericht. Alleen bleken de muren in dit annex-gedeelte van het gebouw wel erg. Van de 4 geboekte nachten er 4 slecht geslapen door allerlei buren geluid. Van een luide televisie van oudere mensen naast ons tot klappende deuren van andere...

'We really enjoyed our stay at the Royal Oak. The room was basic, but clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable. We ate dinner there as well and it was delicious. The breakfast was good. My husband got the full English and I got scrambled eggs and bacon. The scrambled eggs seemed to be the rehydrated kind, but otherwise the meal was good. We would stay here again. '

'We had a deluxe room with a patio. The room was large, but very dated and with stains and scuffs throughout. The patio was private (we weren't aware of that) so our bedroom opens up directly onto a shared patio which meant we couldnt have our curtains open to admire the view. The coffee machine was missing from our room as well. The spa was nice, but very small. It was overcrowded when we went with people queuing inside the spa for beds / steam room, and also queuing to access the spa. We had...
