Herbergen in Kent Island

'The room was good sized, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given it was on the Route 50 end of the building. I took a star off because of the breakfast. I am pretty easy to please for breakfast. The eggs at the Holiday Inn Express were really awful. The pool looked inviting but by the time I checked in, it was too late to use it.'

'First room had non-functional ac in 90+ heat. Went to dinner while it was worked on. Was notified during dinner that it couldn't be repaired and to expect a new room upon return. Eventually got a room but had to wait 10 minutes in heat although they knew we were coming back. The staff member was mediocre at best in soothing the situation. I would have expected a manager to be aware and reach out. Didn't happen.'

'This property is situated in a beautiful marina with excellent facilities. Guests staying at the Lodge can also enjoy complimentary golf, which was a great bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The only drawback was that the Wi-Fi service was somewhat inconsistent.'

'The staff,( if you want to call them that)don't greet you when you walk in to register, I had to initiate the conversation. The elevator floor was filthy nasty and it creaked and groaned. We got off of the elevator on our floor and was greeted by Marijuana smoke and smell. I went back down to inform the front desk that someone was smoking in their non smoking hotel, she said that there wasn't much they could do about it except spray air fresher or smoke eliminator, I ask why they wouldn't...

'Breakfast was poor. Little fruit and the OJ tasted awful. I forgot a shirt in the closet of my room. Called the next day and it couldn’t be found. My guess is someone on housekeeping now has a nice shirt.'

From the friendly staff to conveniently located bathrooms by the swimming pool and absolutely wonderful breakfast! This hotel offers all the relaxation you look forward to on a vacation. And bonus, the location and view are one of a kind. Always very happy with my stay.'
