'The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available.'

'Great hotel. Had a nice upgrade. The room had a comfy bed and was very clean. There was an ac unit in the bedroom which helped cool the room down. The only thing was the shower pressure was very low and cut out a couple of times. '

'Fantastic hotel the staff are helpful and friendly it is beautifully decorated and comfortable I have stayed there a few times now and the service you receive is consistent I can’t praise the staff enough for their care of the guests. The only very minor issue I had was some dust on the floor of the wardrobe that I accidentally dropped my top onto and it got dusty. The breakfast is absolutely delicious especially the eggs Benedict. There is a plenty of choice and excellent service.'

'Lovely room, quiet, clean. We were a bit worried when we saw the hotel was on such a busy street, but once we were in our room, we heard absolutely nothing from all the noise outside. Also, a special shout out to receptionist Cassie, she is an absolute gem. She made us feel extremely welcome and our daughter was totally smitten by her. All of the staff made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!'

'My stay at Abode was relaxing as always. All the staff are always polite, helpful and happy to see you. The hotel provides all you need for a short stay and has an amazing location right by the racecourse. The only slight downside is that the hotel is now starting to show signs of understandable wear and tear which can detract from the experience. The beds are very comfy and rooms are always clean.'
