'I love the TRU by Hilton chain! The hotels are fresh and looking modern and young. They’re clean and are also focused on younger people who do remote working. I always book a hotel from that chain and the one in Ashland was no exception. Breakfast is typically US, so not the best but super bad either.'

'The property overall was clean and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and also very clean, with comfortable beds and a sizable bathroom. Microwave and refrigerator are included in the rooms, along with a freezer slot in the fridge.'

'Room was very clean! Beds and linens were great. Grounds were not taken care of. We stayed there because of the pictures of the tennis courts, shuffle board and putting green. None of that is operational or there any more for at least 10+ years. Great location where you can walk to Kings dominion. But trash everywhere outside and run down. Dog poop, dirty diapers, broken glass and trash.'

'Super clean, comfortable beds, great water pressure! The staff could not have been any more helpful.'

'This property has a traditional and country club vibe. It sits on 20 acres which would be lovely for a wedding or event. It’s obviously an older property but has been kept well. It was pretty empty when we arrived for an overnight stay and the cars are parked behind the building to the right when you drive up. We did not partake in dinner or breakfast.'

'Couch bed still had a dirty fitted sheet on it with a comb and dirt found inside. The couch had stains all over it. Some of the hot breakfast food items were cold when being served. Hotel was close to the highway but there was definitely no sound deadening in the windows or wall.'

'Het positive aan dit hotel is dat het aan de overkant van de straat ligt van pretpark Kings Dominion. Verder was het een wat kleine kamer. De kamer was vies en er hing een vreemde geur in het hotel. Met vies bedoel ik dat de oude contactlenzen van de vorige gast nog op de vloer lagen. Ook vonden we oude bier dopjes en zaten er vlekken op de vloer. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig en konden zowel de mensen naast ons als boven ons horen. '

'General ok place to stay. However small rooms, can be noisy if other guest stay out long. And gap between door and floor is big. So expect crawling friends.'

'Where to start? Realized we had no shower curtain at 7:00 am. Reception was closed until 9:00. Tried calling on phone provided; message said there was no voicemail box so don’t bother. Hallways smelled absolutely horrible; elevator smelled like wet dog. Loud party across the hall at 2:00 am and paper thin doors/walls. Of course nobody around to stop it. Fire alarm went off and whole fire dept came because carpet cleaner set fire to hallway due to faulty wiring. Truly the bottom of the barrel....

'We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean and well kept and breakfast was very good. Next time we are passing through the Richmond area, we will definitely stay at this hotel again! '

'Overall, excellent place to stay. The hotel is starting to showing its age. Was very convenient to Kings Dominion, which is where we were taking our grandchildren for the day. The breakfast could have been better.'

'The room was not clean. There were food items under the beds and the couch. There was no shampoo or body wash. They handed me body wash with no top and filled an empty bottle of shampoo that wasn’t meant for shampoo. The outlet by the bed doesn’t work and is coming out of the wall. There is rarely a staff member available at the desk, and they don’t answer the phone number given.'
