'I love the TRU by Hilton chain! The hotels are fresh and looking modern and young. They’re clean and are also focused on younger people who do remote working. I always book a hotel from that chain and the one in Ashland was no exception. Breakfast is typically US, so not the best but super bad either.'

'Rooms were very clean and didn't smell of masking fragrance or laundry fragrance, which I dislike. Mini-fridge in room had a broken door was oddly front heavy and a little leaky. Despite heavy humidity in the outside air and condensation humidity from the AC the room didn't have a mildew smell, but had kind of that cold, older AC humidity smell. 'They let us have our goldendoodle, they were quick to accompany us when we asked for a ground floor room. Very nice safe area to walk our dog at night.'

'The front desk lady was awesome. She gave great directions to get our boys uniforms clean. Also the location was great. The boys walked over and I was able to leisurely get there.'

'Het positive aan dit hotel is dat het aan de overkant van de straat ligt van pretpark Kings Dominion. Verder was het een wat kleine kamer. De kamer was vies en er hing een vreemde geur in het hotel. Met vies bedoel ik dat de oude contactlenzen van de vorige gast nog op de vloer lagen. Ook vonden we oude bier dopjes en zaten er vlekken op de vloer. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig en konden zowel de mensen naast ons als boven ons horen. '

'Room was FILTHY. No smoke alarm. Room did not have a working phone or TV. WiFi wouldn’t work. Food from someone else left in the fridge in the room. We couldn’t even take our shoes off. Our daughter did and her feet were black from the floor. No hot water in the sink. It was TERRIBLE.'

In the first room there was mold in the refrigerator and around the shower. In the second room the shower curtain was mildewed, there was mold around the shower base, and a cockroach on my fourth day.
