Villa Bahama Breeze is a Gulf of Mexico accessible home in a quiet community, less than a mile from the public boat ramp at Rosen Park. This means you can bring your boat with you!
IMPORTANT - The ride to the open waters leading you to the Gulf of Mexico is LESS THAN 15 MINUTES! (Be sure to verify with ALL other "gulf access" properties in this price range because when you ask for the length of the ride in the canal system at wake speed, most will tell you "One hour to one hour and forty-five minutes!" But they hope that you never ask...) This is TRUE access, ready for fun! The dock is 60 feet long, with 4 ft MLW.

The HOUSE is set up in a casually elegant feel! Ever felt like saying that you just wanna go live on an island getaway? Here, you will feel like you are in a Bahamian estate. Home is filled with original local artists' work - Fun pieces!

This is not our private home, but rather a home we have equipped for your maximum pampering, from youngest to oldest. There are spaces where different generations can escape, while all together. Let me walk you through the home:

As you arrive, you will park in a four-space driveway off the main road, in front of a single home and two-car garage, which is for your use as well. The palms, birds of paradise, bromeliad, bouganvilla, and blooming trees will remind you that you are in the sub-tropics. Step in the front door and the Tommy Bahama furnishings will simply beg you to sit and relax.

There is a living room, a formal dining room (but relaxed), and a family room with a full bar.

They say "Bahamian Estate" all over... Rich woods, sea air, and a restful holiday.

We specifically selected furnishings that you would not find at home, evoking that feeling of tropical holiday time... The photos will provide a better understanding.

The bright clean kitchen is in the center of the home, allowing the cook to feel involved with all aspects of the house. We have traveled the world extensively, are from a large family that loves to spend downtime together and make memories... So we made certain that you would have all that you need from Henkel cutlery to Cuisinart pots/pans to William Sonoma dishware, and outdoor dishes and acrylic "glasses," to a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker... Place setting for over 20 people provided. The appliances are new as is most of the furnishings, with the exception of antique pieces mixed in for charm.

Adjoining the smart chef's kitchen is a large family room with a 55 inch HDTV on the wall, with HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and over 900 channels. Two leather sofas and a fully equipped bar. (this means all the glassware, shakers, stirrers, fruit mull, condiment trays, ice bucket, recipe book, fun straws, etc.) You supply your own liquor if desired! This room overlooks the dock and canal as well as the screened lanai and swimming pool. The sunsets are tantalizing so have a camera on the table, ready!

The king suite is suited for a private getaway from all other guests... Yes, we all love our grandchildren, but sometimes we need our quiet time as well. This room is luxuriously appointed with a Bahamian mahogany king-sized bed with spa-like linens and pillows, plus a sitting area so you can read, review all the menus of local restaurants, watch TV or have a grown-up drink, quietly. This room also offers beautifully nightly sunsets.

The queen room offers a comfy queen-sized bed, an island theme, and has a great view of the pool, baby pool, and canal. This room shares a full bathroom with the fish-themed bedroom. In the closets just outside of these rooms, you will find a variety of novels, biographies, non-fiction, and magazines to read, as well as family games to play on a night in... Puzzles and cards, dominoes even...

The third bedroom offers two single daybeds. One is the trundle, the second is simply a daybed... It is great fun for kids and siblings, cousins, or friends to camp indoors. A TV with DVD player and capabilities to accept your electronic games is provided inside the closet... But maybe don't tell them, and they will learn about watching the manatees and dolphin which come to visit your dock, crabs on the poles at sunset. They could study the shells which are easily collected at the Lighthouse Point beach on Sanibel Island. Have a storm? Get to the beach early the following day, and learn how to do the "Sanibel Stoop."

In the garage is a growing collection of beach supplies, such as a beach bag, shell bags, coolers, chairs, blanket/sheet, sandcastle supplies, and so forth. As well, a game of family croquet? Bocce? Lawn darts? Supplied and the lawn has a few flat areas in sun or shade to play. Two complete sets of Wilson Clubs and Bags (number of balls depending on the quality of player who stayed prior to you!), and last, five bicycles for leisure rides to Rosen Park or elsewhere.

Speaking of Rosen Park... Do you want to bring your boat along? Trailer it for your holiday, and we will provide free dock fees. Your boat will be launched, for free, in the neighborhood, less than 2 miles from Villa Bahama Breeze. The canal system is simple for this property, a turn or two, and you are heading for the Gulf. There is room on the south side of the property to store your trailer during your stay, which is acceptable under certain city codes. I will meet you to show you where is best. We can accommodate up to 35 feet before concerning water clearance.

There is so much to do in this beautiful part of the world, so I am sure you've researched information. I'd be glad to share anything that will help to make your stay at Villa Bahama Breeze feel luxurious and pampered.

We do not charge extra for more than 2 guests, or weekends. The fee is the same as you see for up to 6 total guests. Beyond six, there is a queen-sized sofa bed in the living room or they'd have to sleep on the dock (don't tell little ones, they'd want that!) BUT, we request you provide an honest account for the number of guests in the reservation! This house does not accommodate more guests than suggested.
