'I left something valuable behind in our room upon check out (800.00 value). I called 2 days later when I realized I didn't have the item and the front desk was able to determine from housekeeping that it was indeed located 2 days earlier upon check-out. While I am appreciative that housekeeping set the item aside, a call to the phone number on file for the reservation (before 2 days had passed!) would have been the appropriate customer service response - especially given the value of the item...
