Family holiday accommodation in a quiet location in the popular seaside village of Rockcliffe. The house has excellent views over the Rough Firth and it is just over half a mile walk to the bay with its attractive sandy beach. There is easy access from the house to cliff top and forest walks including the Jubilee Path to Kippford.
Within a short drive are the wonderful sandy beaches of Sandyhills and Southerness and the popular sailing village of Kippford which has two pubs both of which serve food. The house is an ideal base for a holiday in this area. Sporting facilities abound, there are bird and wildlife reserves at WWT Caerlaverock and RSPB at Mersehead both only a short drive away. For the golfer, there is an 18 hole golf course at Colvend (three minutes by car) and the championship links course at Southerness, with many others nearby. Mabie Forest, within half an hour drive, has extensive forest trails, an adventure playground for children and forms one of the stages of the 7Stanes mountain bike network. Further 7stanes trailheads can be found in Dalbeattie Forest (about 5 minutes' drive away), and further afield in The Galloway Forest Park at Kirroughtree and Glentrool.
