« The location was beautiful and remote. I felt a little silly because I had forgot to download my driving instructions prior to getting to the cottage (no Internet signal!). But I was graciously given them again with no problem and a follow up text from my host. He made it easy. Everything felt homey, comfortable and easy. I loved it as a secluded getaway and the hot tub and trails were lovely perks. »

« This is one of the most unique places that we have ever stayed at and we thoroughly enjoyed the serene vibe that it brings. The architecture, vintage artifacts, gardens, statues and design is extremely enchanting and dreamy! The only downfall was the hot tub; it wasn't what we expected and no instructions were provided on how to operate it or if it worked at all? Otherwise, the secluded cottage is a phenomenal place to stay! »

« We arrived to a pristine and efficient space in Hatton Fields just southeast of downtown Carmel. The homeowners built this guest house on their property and did a fantastic job of creating a cozy getaway. From the clean design to efficient use of space, we thoroughly enjoyed the four days we spent there. « Cleaned everything except sheets and was charged extra for not washing sheets ( stripped bed and left sheets in tub with towels as per hotels ) but no washer and dryer. 4pm checkin and 10am checkout seems like the host is prioritizing the cleaning crew over the guests. Instructions mention cottage although the room appears to be a half carport walled in under a house. »

« My experience at the Sea Otter Cottage was pure bliss. We immediately felt comfortable- The cottage was clean and cozy. I'm an over packer who brings items "just in case", and they had everything you could need. The kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were really comfortable. Now to the outside.... WOW! « Overall this property is excellent. Wood floors throughout make cleaning easy, living room seating fairly comfortable, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms updated/excellent and access to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea or Highway 1 is easy.
