'It is a quirky place. Looks very plain from the front but was a lovely place to stay. Great service from arrival to departure. Food was superb. After checking out we were on our way to Sunderland when we realised we hadn't tipped the staff so, we turned back and did so. That's how good it was. Will definitely return.'

We were checked in by a lovely young man who also served us our food, he was very attentive and even brought us extra sides for our burgers. 'Voor de derde keer in dit hotel, maar nu de laatste keer. Kamer aan zijde snelweg wordt lawaai van verkeer niet gedempt, het lijkt alsof de raam open staat. Geen airco en raam openzetten door extra lawaai niet mogelijk. Zwembad gesloten en stond niet aangegeven op website / bij boeking. Restaurant ruimte 's avonds niet geopend, reeds gedekt voor ontbijt. Tafels in bar niet afgeruimd, waardoor je moet wachten om plaats te nemen tot een tafel vrijgemaakt wordt. Ontbijt uitgebreid en ok. '

'Als je houd van een typisch Engels verblijf op het platteland dan is dit een prachtig voorbeeld zoals je kan zien in Engelse series. Het minpunt is dat de sanitaire voorzieningen dan ook wat minder zijn maar de vriendelijke ontvangst en het lekkere eten maakt het goed.'
