'The staff went above and beyond. The property is being renovated which is said might take 2 years but it is quiet. The grounds are beautiful. They have golf carts to get you to your room, front desk, pool, restaurant and parking. They have a pool bar with restaurant, a restaurant and a small cafe which has staples to buy. There is an onsite area to get a taxi but highly recommend renting a jeep to get around the island. About 8 min drive to Cruz bay with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Just...

'When I first read reviews of Tamarind, the reviews were mixed. I decided to take a chance and we couldn’t have been happier. The room was spacious and clean. The location of our room was fantastic, I walked out with my coffee every morning and was greeted by the ocean. The pool was right there and my daughter loved that. The pool was large, overlooking the ocean and well maintained. The location was great. The staff were beyond wonderful. They were so friendly, welcoming and were eager to help...

'Beautiful beach front property. Pool bar had very limited hours. The iguanas were entertaining but can be aggressive. Definitely would stay here again!!'

'It's such a comfortable hotel, all amenities are there in the room. The kitchen even has a blender. The views are spectacular, the bed very comfortable and the location fantastic. I loved Coki beach and taking day trips to St. John and jost van dyke. Definitely recommend this place.'

'This was our first visit to St. John, and I honestly don’t think we could’ve chosen a better place to stay. The resort exceeded expectations across the board. One of my favorite features was the west-facing infinity pool—perfect for catching those unforgettable sunsets. I was also pleasantly surprised to find free weights in the gym and a sauna on-site. That was a huge bonus! The in-room Keurig with dark roast coffee was also an unexpected treat!'

'We had such an amazing time! This cozy little condo was perfect for our needs. Great location, nice property. Our host, Chris was extremely communicative throughout the entire process. Giving suggestions and recommendations. We had a couple of hiccups that were attended to very quickly. I hate that we didn’t get to use the pool when that was the reason I wanted this home. Nature (leaves and bugs) just wanted the pool also lol. There was a net to clean it but with the wind, it kept being too...

'The room was dark and depressing and the second bedroom looked like a low rent apartment in Los Angeles. There was one, unremarkable restaurant at the hotel and no room service. Breakfast entailed walking across the property to a deli/mini mart that was akin to airport food (mostly grab and go). Tons of staff driving empty shuttles around, but no room service and minimal housekeeping? Housekeeping only comes every other day and, so, technically, only came once during our 5 day stay and didn't...

'We had a lovely stay! You have to be ready for somewhat rugged conditions as it's open air - think "glamping" - in the treehouse accommodations and so you are with the elements and animals somewhat. (We had a cute frog in our shower!) But we loved it! Would definitely stay again as we felt away from it all and able to fully relax. '

'My family and I had a great experienced. Chris was a great host. Very knowledgeable of the Island and communicative. The space of the condo was extremely clean, the staff was respectful, quiet environment and peaceful space, the view is impeccable and the location was very convenient to multiple beaches and restaurants. A car rental is a must as Chris informed us. We would happily stay again! '

'Have stayed here several years in a row. The rooms are amazing and it’s easy access to Red Hook and the beaches. Great amenities offered. The sargassum is the worst it’s ever been, free shuttle to other beaches is offered. '

'Great place for families to stay. We enjoyed the beach and pool as well as activities the hotel put on. We took a mixology class, had mimosas and muffins, and took a few water aerobics classes. Getting to other two hotels for dinner (for a little variety) was easy. It was also very convenient having VI Cat on sight for sunset cruise.'
